Job Overview
Ravenna Marine is looking for an experienced part-time Service Manager who will focus on operations management, team leadership, customer relations, and inventory control.
Ravenna Marine specializes in selling new and used boats, outboard motors, watercraft parts, and accessories and offers comprehensive year-round maintenance, engine tune-ups, winterization, and secure boat storage services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule vessel repairs, allocate technician work assignments, and manage service bay workflows.
- Hire, train, and mentor marine technicians, rigging staff, and service advisers.
- Diagnose client issues, provide cost estimates, and resolve service complaints.
- Procure parts, manage tool inventories, and coordinate with external vendors.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Deep knowledge of marine propulsion (outboard, inboard), electrical systems, and hull rigging.
- Ability to manage multiple vessel refits and overhauls simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Clear communication, conflict resolution, and structured team building.
- Proficiency with marine dealer management systems (DMS).
