Job Overview
Chagrin Marine is seeking a motivated, experienced, full-time, year-round Boat Marina Yard Hand for its continuously growing full-service marina, marine storage and summer dockage facility. Typical work schedule is Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm with occasional overtime and weekends as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Launch, haul, and block boats
- Operate marina equipment, including trucks, tractors, travel lifts, etc.
- General boat maintenance, including bottom painting, oil changes, and assisting service technicians
- Facility and ground maintenance
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications / Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions with frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing
- Basic mechanical aptitude, with the opportunity to train as a full-time technician
- Experience operating marina equipment is a plus, but will train and certify the right person
Salary:
Competitive hourly rate based on experience and willing to increase with proven work ethic, team work, good communication, and growing mechanical skills
