Huron Lagoons Marina is looking to fill a full-time position in Boat Sales.This position is responsible for assisting customers with purchase of boats (new and used), marine accessories, fuel and pump outs.
Huron Lagoons Marina is a family-owned and operated business serving our local boating community for over 55 years. We aim to make our customers’ boating experiences some of the most enjoyable times of their lives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Boat Sales from start to finish- from advertising boats for sale, showing boats, facilitating boat demonstrations, writing up sales agreements, completing paperwork and collecting funds to deliver boats
- Assisting customers with store sales and service writing.
- Help and assist other employees wherever and whenever needed.
- Availability to work overtime when required
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
Qualifications / Requirements
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License
- Criminal background check (Required)
- HLM is a drug free work place, you must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- References available
- Ability to work safely around the water
- Must be able to swim
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Basic boat handling skills preferred
- Professional appearance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and an understanding of customers’ needs
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills while working both independently and within a team context
- Organizational skills are a must
- Demonstrates ability to prioritize and work unsupervised
- Eager to engage in a growing, fast paced, and industry-leading company
