Job Overview
Huron Lagoons Marina is looking for a full-time Gas Dock Attendant responsible for representing the marina in professional and courteous manner, serving as the face of the business to many customers. Provide prompt and the highest level of customer service at all times while maintaining a clean and welcoming dock.
Huron Lagoons Marina is a family-owned and operated business serving our local boating community for over 55 years. We aim to make our customers’ boating experiences some of the most enjoyable times of their lives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follows all safety precautions and procedures at all times
- Greets all customers in a prompt and courteous fashion
- Fuels customer boats
- Sells miscellaneous supplies (oil, soda, water, bait, etc.) and accurately processes all transactions
- Maintain the gas dock and surrounding area to be orderly, safe, and clean
- Maintain a professional image consistent with our commitment to customer service at all times
- Be protective of the environment, avoiding gas and oil spills, as well as litter
- Maintain restrooms and surrounding areas to be orderly, safe, and clean and stocked with paper towels and toilet paper.
- Maintain Pool Complex and surrounding area to be orderly, safe, and clean, clean and maintain swimming and check pool chemicals.
- Maintain the marina grounds, including but not limited to, cutting grass, using a weed eater and leaf blower and picking up area.
Qualifications / Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Have a valid state driver’s license
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
- Professional appearance
- Ability to follow all company policies and procedures
- Be able to work independently, self-motivated, and process driven
