Job Overview
This full-time Lot Technician role is responsible for the organization, movement, and general upkeep of boats and equipment on dealership or marina property. This role supports sales and service operations by ensuring vessels are clean, accessible, and ready for display, demonstration, or service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Move boats on trailers using trucks or equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Launch and retrieve boats from the water using ramps or hoists
- Clean, wash, and detail boats to maintain showroom appearance
- Assist with staging boats for customer viewings and on-water demonstrations
- Perform basic inspections (battery checks, fuel levels, visual condition)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lot, docks, and storage areas
- Assist service technicians and sales staff as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and marina/dealership policies
Qualifications / Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver’s license required; clean driving record preferred
- Ability to operate or learn to operate trailers, forklifts, and marine equipment
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions with frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing
Salary: $15-17/hr
