Outboard Installer

Job Overview

Dubbert’s is looking for full-time Outboard Installers, responsible for the installation, rigging, and setup of outboard motors and related systems, ensuring all work meets manufacturer standards and delivers safe, reliable performance for customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Install and rig outboard engines on a variety of boats
  • Mount engines, align components, and secure hardware to manufacturer specifications
  • Install and connect control systems, steering components, fuel systems, and electrical wiring
  • Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and adjustments to ensure proper operation
  • Assist with removal and replacement of existing outboard motors
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Document work performed and communicate with service advisors as needed
  • Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines

Qualifications / Requirements 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required with training available
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to read and follow technical manuals and schematics
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and with tools and equipment for extended periods with frequent standing, walking, bending, and working in tight spaces.

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Previous marine, mechanical, or small engine experience
  • Familiarity with outboard engines and rigging systems

Salary: Starting at $25/hr, based on experience
