Outboard Maintenance Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Diagnoses, repairs, and maintains a variety of marine engines and systems
  • Performs routine service on outboards, inboards, and sterndrives
  • Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues
  • Conducts inspections and prepares vessels for customer delivery
  • Maintains accurate service documentation
  • Provides excellent customer service and communicates repair needs clearly

Qualifications / Requirements 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required with training available
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and with tools and equipment for extended periods with frequent standing, walking, bending, and working in tight spaces.

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Previous marine, mechanical, or small engine experience
  • Familiarity with outboard engines and rigging systems

Salary: Starting at $25/hr, based on experience
